The Children and Young People's Disability Partnership (CYPDisP) has been brought together to help children with disabilities; some of the services that the partnership includes are the Children with Disabilities Team (Social Care), Special Educational Needs and the Children's Therapy Services from the PCT and Foundation Trust.
The aim of the partnership is to provide support to children, young people and their families in Stockport.
Bringing together these services under one umbrella will ensure that care is joined up and professionals are working together to plan and deliver intervention for the child taking into account the range of their needs.
It is intended that services will be delivered within the local communities at children's centres and extended schools.
The Partnerships main base is at Beckwith House and most of the services are based there for their office work. In addition the therapy services have purpose built therapy rooms on the 1st floor at Beckwith House for children both included in the CYPDisP and also for their community based services for children with less complex needs.
The joint base enhances our:
- Joint working and provision of care to the children.
- Decreases duplication.
- Improves communication between professionals.
