What is Dragonfly?

The Dragonfly team is a Children's Palliative Care team based in the Treehouse Children’s Centre at Stepping Hill Hospital.

We are a small team who provide a range of home and community support for children resident in Stockport with life limiting and life threatening conditions.

Who is the Service for?

The service is for children up to the age of 18.

How we can help

We offer respite sessions so parents can have some "time out", nursing care, dietetic advice, counselling, sibling support and end of life care.

Some of the other services we provide include home nursing, training for parents/carers, play activities, day and night sitting.

Who can refer?

We have an open referral system.

What happens next?

A project co-ordinator will make an initial home visit to discuss and plan an individual package of care.
