Stockport Children and Young People’s Disability Partnership is committed to enabling disabled children and young people and their parents and carers to have a say on the services they receive, and to be involved in developing effective services that meet the needs of disabled children and young people.

“It is vital us to work in partnership with parents and carers of children and young people with a disability and with children and young people with a disability themselves. By working in partnership we can understand the real needs of families and respond to these needs through services which deliver both best outcomes and best value. It is essential to keep the voices of families at the centre of our work as we continue to develop our services”. Head of Service, Stockport Children and Young People’s Disability Partnership

As part of our approach to Participation, we currently work closely with Parents in Partnership Stockport (PIPS) and YDP: Working Together for Change, and you can find out more about each group in this section of our website. If you would like to find out more about each group, please contact Paul Jamieson on paul.jamieson@stockport.gov.uk.
